Issue Position

Every year the Legislature passes thousands of laws and takes little time to consider their consequences--particularly on small businesses. This has led California to have one of the highest costs of doing business in the country and negatively affects a wide range of things including utility costs, gas prices, property costs, taxes and health insurance premiums. Small businesses are the true drivers of job growth and make up the vast majority of businesses here in the Antelope Valley. Until we can make our state and community a friendlier place for them, we will not truly be able to get people back to work. I am proud to have earned the endorsement of the California Small Business Association and the National Federation of Independent Business.
