On Monday, June 8, Congressman Marc Veasey, TX-33, will gear up bright and early to serve alongside shift B of the Fort Worth Fire Department's station #10 as they respond to emergency calls. North Texas' recent unpredictable weather kept the community's first responders on their toes prompting Congressman Veasey to join them as they prepare for the next emergency. Congressman Veasey will participate in a morning of fire station maintenance, ride-alongs with the department's firefighters, and help with in their day-to-day activities.
Since March 2014, Veasey has spent a day each month working at a different job in his district. He has aided in storm clean up with the Dallas Parks and Recreation department, delivered beverages with Ben E. Keith Company, and served as a Mary Kay cosmetic consultant for an evening. The Marc Means Business series connects Veasey with constituents at their place of employment to better understand the challenges they face in their work and daily lives.
