Today, Congressman Stephen Fincher (TN-08) released the following statement after the House Financial Services Committee advanced his bill to accelerate a company's ability to enter into an Initial Public Offering (IPO). By simplifying the registration process for small companies going public, the Improving Access to Capital for Emerging Growth Companies Act will make it easier for small businesses to grow and create jobs.

"Small businesses are the backbone of our economy," said Congressman Fincher. "I'm pleased to see the Committee take action on important legislation to reduce regulatory burdens that are making it more difficult for small business to grow. By streamlining the IPO process, my bill will allow small emerging growth businesses to expand and create more quality jobs for Americans."
