Rep. Keith Ellison (D-MN) released the following statement today after U.S. Attorney Andy Luger and an official in the U.S. Attorney General's office announced a settlement that will allow an Islamic worship center to open in St. Anthony.

"I want to congratulate U.S. Attorney Andy Luger, Imam Abdirahman Omar, and Mayor Jerry Faust for coming together to reach today's important agreement. The Abu-Hurairah Islamic Center will be a valuable resource for St. Anthony Village, and for Muslim and non-Muslim Minnesotans alike."
