Ensuring that Virginians can get to work , prayer and play without hours in crippling traffic jams is an imperative goal. Without resolving our transportation crisis, not only will we continue to lose valuable hours stuck in traffic, but families and companies will not chooseVirginia. We need to combine a steady, reliable income stream with reasonable cuts and efficiencies (not from core government services) to address our transportation crisis. We need to repair our aging and crumbling transportation infrastructure, where our bridges and overpasses are unsafe and deteriorating. We need to make sure our transportation options include resources for mass transit, pedestrians, and bicycles.
