At a hearing today before the Senate Environment and Public Works Committee, U.S. Senator Deb Fischer (R-Neb.) pressed for the EPA to rollback proposed rules over carbon dioxide emissions. She released the following statement after the hearing:
"The EPA's proposed carbon dioxide emissions rules are a threat to the state of Nebraska. These mandates would be responsible for new, higher electricity costs putting unnecessary burdens on our state's families and businesses. I appreciated the opportunity to raise my concerns with EPA Air Administrator Janet McCabe today, and will continue to push the agency to rollback these unreasonable rules."
