Hoeven Announces More Than $1.8 Million in HUD Capital Fund Program Grants for North Dakota

Senator John Hoeven today announced that North Dakota housing authorities have received more than $1.8 million in grants from the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development's (HUD) Capital Fund Program. The funds are for capital and management activities to help modernize and develop public housing as well as pay down debt if necessary.

Barnes County Housing Authority: $50,791
Benson County Housing Authority: $18,180
Burleigh County Housing Authority: $390,554
Emmons County Housing Authority: $17,718
Fargo Housing and Redevelopment Authority: $698,253
Housing Authority of Cass County: $164,974
Housing Authority of the City of Williston: $127,015
McIntosh County Housing Authority: $8,310
Mercer County Housing Authority: $39,062
Minot Housing Authority: $316,043
Total: $1,830,900

"The demand for affordable housing in North Dakota, especially in western North Dakota, will hold strong over the long term," Hoeven said. "These HUD grants will help us ensure that we have public housing to meet the needs of our expanding workforce and population."
