Wednesday, the House passed a balanced budget that reins in excessive spending, helps our economy and puts the country on a more sustainable fiscal path.
"The House passed a pro-growth, balanced budget that establishes a stark contrast between our vision for the future, and that of the president," Congressman John Boehner (R-West Chester) said. "Ohioans and their families balance their budgets and frankly, so should Washington. Instead of drowning our kids in a sea of red ink, we cut more than $5 trillion in spending and balanced the budget within a decade."
Earlier this week, Rep. Boehner highlighted the House's focus on the people's priorities:
A Balanced Budget For A Stronger America
* Cuts more than $5 trillion in spending.
* Balances in less than 10 years.
* Fully repeals ObamaCare.
* Calls for a simpler and fairer tax code.
