Comstock Meets With Metro Official

Congresswoman Barbara Comstock met with WMATA Federal Board Member and incoming Chairman Mortimer L. Downey, III to discuss the tragic incident on the Yellow Line at L`Enfant Plaza Station that occurred yesterday afternoon. Congresswoman Comstock serves on the House Transportation and Infrastructure Committee.

"Commuters rely on Metro for safe travel, and I was glad to hear today from Metro officials that they will be fully cooperating with the NTSB during their investigation," said Congresswoman Comstock. "What happened yesterday was truly a tragedy and my thoughts and prayers are with everyone who was affected. We must all work together with the NTSB and Metro to make sure a tragedy like this never happens again."
