McMorris Rodgers: NASA: Unlimited Opportunity and Boundless Possibility

Statement

Date: Feb. 11, 2015
Location: Washington, DC

House Republican Conference Chair Cathy McMorris Rodgers (R-WA) issued the following statement today after the House passed H.R. 810, the National Aeronautics and Space Administration Authorization Act of 2015, which gives NASA the support it needs to pursue scientific innovation and research.

"Since its inception in 1958, NASA has been at the forefront of scientific discovery and space exploration -- and today we voted overwhelmingly to make this American institution a priority. This important legislation guarantees support for the thousands of NASA employees around the country and the life-saving research they conduct. NASA has already changed the world -- but there is so much more left to discover. I applaud my colleague Rep. Steven Palazzo (R-MS) for his dedication to scientific ingenuity, and the American innovators behind such incredible scientific endeavors. NASA provides Americans with unlimited opportunity and boundless possibility -- and that's why I am so proud to support its continued success."
