Continuing Longstanding Support, McCaskill Votes to Approve Keystone

Statement

U.S. Senator Claire McCaskill, a longtime supporter of construction of the Keystone XL Pipeline, today released the following statement after a bipartisan 62-36 Senate vote to advance the pipeline's construction:

"I've long supported Keystone, because it was never a choice of whether the pipeline would be built--it was a question of where. Getting this pipeline built in the United States means creating jobs and business opportunities, and boosting America's energy security. Those are goals we should all be able to get behind, and while this process has taken far longer than it should have, I'm glad to see the Senate finally approve this project."
