Rep. Scott Garrett (NJ-05) issued the following statement today after being sworn-in to represent New Jersey's Fifth District in the 114th Congress:

"It is a privilege and honor to work for the people of New Jersey's Fifth District in our nation's capital. My top priorities this term will continue to be reining in government spending, fighting for lower taxes, and ensuring the federal government works for all Americans--not the other way around. The people of New Jersey have put their trust in me to represent them in the House, and I promise to serve them faithfully."
