Walorski Supports Legislation to Defund President's Unlawful Actions

Statement

Rep. Jackie Walorski (IN-02) today supported legislation to defund the president's executive action on immigration. H.R. 240 would defund the president's unlawful executive order in its entirety and prevent the president, and future presidents, from abusing their executive authority. The bill passed by a vote of 236-191 and now heads to the Senate for further consideration.

"I made a promise to Hoosiers in my district to stop the president's blatant executive overreach, and I fully intend to keep it," Walorski said. "We must put an end to the unconstitutional action by the president and allow Congress to perform its Constitutional responsibilities -- create and write the laws of this great land."
