The Future Can Be Ours: Vote Total Update and Twitter Availability

Statement

Date: Nov. 9, 2014
Location: Scottsdale, AZ

Dear Friend,

69,233 votes is the number I have as of the end of today. Schweikert has
127,767. 35.14%/64.86%.

That's a lot of people who would not have had anyone to vote for had I not
run.

I noticed in Maricopa County Recorder listings that Paula Pennypacker,
Democratic candidate for State Senate in LD23 had 37.57% of the vote, very
respectable.

I've taken the leap of faith and am on Twitter now. My "call sign" is:
@WJohn_AZCD6. If you are on Twitter, please take some time and send me a
tweet. I've sent out 8 tweets so far and nobody has responded.

I again want to thank those who volunteered their valuable time to help
out, as well as those who made a financial contribution to my campaign.
There were those, too, who offered sage advice at critical points, and
that is much appreciated.

I feel as though I know Congressional District 6 a lot better now than I
did last Monday night. I believe that, given our resources, we
communicated our message pretty well, though we could do a lot better. I
appreciate the validation that our campaign has received from the 69,233
citizens (so far) that cast their ballots in my favor. The Democratic
Party has a place in CD6 that cannot be denied.

Contrary to the wishful thinking of Senator Mitch McConnell, the new U.S.
Senate majority leader, millions of folks in our country--particularly the
7,000,000, at least, who now are the beneficiaries of the Affordable Care
Act--don't "hate the mandate" nor do they hate Obamacare. They are
grateful--as I am grateful that my daughter, because of the Affordable
Care Act, can be on my health insurance up through her 26th year.

Congresswoman Nancy Pelosi, the House Democratic Minority Leader, from the
12th District in California, put it this way in an e-mail sent to
Democrats around the country on Friday: "Republicans no longer have anyone
to blame. They will have to show the people that the Republican agenda is
better than the Democratic agenda -- and we are ready for that fight."

Congresswoman Pelosi, I agree with you. And, in Arizona's 6th
Congressional District, I know for a fact--as the whole world can
know--that there are 69,233 voters--Democrats, Independents, and, yes,
some Republicans, I'm sure--who agree with you as well.

Thank you for your time.

Sincerely,
John

W. John Williamson
