Time Is Running Out

Statement

Dear Fellow Texans,

Too often, in politics, we get consumed with Congressional gridlock, the crisis of the day, or what our opponents are doing. Many in Washington lose sight of what truly matters. Americans want us to lay the groundwork that hard working American families need in order to have opportunities to achieve the American Dream.

I am running for re-election to serve the 17th Congressional District of Texas to work with my colleagues in Congress to implement common-sense solutions to the issues facing America today. Today, with all of the headwinds blowing out of the Obama administration--a weak economy, out-of-control bureaucrats, continuing problems in our health care system, porous borders, abusive regulations, higher taxes, and shrinking American influence around the world; it is time for Congress to turn those headwinds into tailwinds. Americans deserve to see their Representatives working to get results that strengthen their future. Americans deserve the opportunity to empower their families to live their dreams.
