Tomorrow, the Murphy for Congress campaign will begin airing a new ad featuring key endorsements from the Palm Beach Post and Scripps Treasure Coast Newspapers for Murphy's re-election. Murphy won the support of both local papers for his record of independent leadership and commitment to Florida's 18th District. Text: "It's a rare thing these days when you have a chance to cast a vote you can feel good about, for a person who turns out to be exactly who he says he is. Patrick Murphy: the Palm Beach Post endorses Murphy saying he's a "moderate with an independent streak,' "he's ideal for the district.' And TCPalm endorses Murphy calling him "an impressive leader.' That's real. That's Patrick Murphy."

"I ran on a pledge of working across the aisle to get things done for the district and I stand by that pledge," said Murphy. "It is truly humbling to have both of our local papers support my re-election, understanding that I will continue to keep that promise to our community."

"After 22 months in office, receiving the endorsements of both local papers speaks to Patrick's commitment to being an independent leader who will always put the Treasure Coast and Palm Beaches first," said Murphy for Congress campaign manager Anthony Kusich. "The Palm Beach Post and TCPalm are part of a continually growing chorus of both organizations and grassroots supporters from across the political spectrum backing Patrick's bipartisan approach and focus on local issues."
