Fighting for Southern Illinois Farmers in Washington.

Press Release

Date: Oct. 18, 2014

The Illinois Farm Bureau has endorsed me for re-election to the 12th Congressional District of Illinois!

As a young boy, I grew up walking the beans next to my grandfather. I'll never forget the lessons he taught me as a farmer, and I take that hard working attitude with me to Washington. When I first ran for office in 2012, the Farm Bureau chose not to endorse any candidate in the election. This year, because of my work in Washington on the House Agriculture Committee, they chose to endorse me for re-election. I am deeply honored to have this recognition.

Here is what the Farm Bureau had to say, "Rep. Enyart helped Farm Bureau accomplish two of its highest priority issues in this session of Congress -- the farm bill and the first water resources reauthorization in seven years," said Adam Nielsen, IFB national legislative director.

I was thrilled to accept the endorsement, along with the Friend of Agriculture Award from the Illinois Farm Bureau. Here are a few photos of the ceremonies, the Confressional Agriculture Advisory Committee joined me onsite.
