Important Information on Government Ebola Efforts

Statement

In light of the continued focus on Ebola both here at home and abroad, the House Armed Services Committee and the Committees on Appropriations, Homeland Security, Energy and Commerce, and Transportation and Infrastructure have compiled the fact sheets below as well as received updates from the respective federal agencies involved in the response, containment, and protective efforts. Over the next two weeks, the Homeland Security Committee and Energy and Commerce Committee will hold oversight hearings -- the readouts of which will be provided. Please note that this information will be updated as needed.

It is also important to mention that this is the beginning of the flu season. Public health officials have indicated that many flu symptoms are consistent with those of the Ebola virus.
