Date: Oct. 1, 2014
Location: Washington, DC

Congressman Bill Shuster (R-Hollidaysburg) held a town hall meeting on Wednesday in Farmington with members of the Spring Valley and New Meadow Run Bruderhof communities. Congressman Shuster took their questions and listened to their concerns about what he can be doing for them in Washington.

"Town hall meetings play a huge role for me in representing the people of Southwestern Pennsylvania," said Congressman Shuster. "Having such a large turnout shows how engaged our region is on the issues impacting this nation. I was glad to not only provide an update to my constituents but to also hear their concerns."

During the town hall discussion Congressman Shuster expressed his support for traditional marriage and conservative family values. He also talked about the importance of getting children the best education possible, and how we must continue to support an all of the above approach to the nation's domestic energy supply.

The Spring Valley and New Meadow Run Bruderhof communities have over 400 members. They own and operate the furniture and education equipment business, Community Playthings. Additionally, they operate Rifton Equipment, a rehabilitation product business along with Danthonia Designs, a sign making business.
