Prominent community leader Sally Wong-Avery reiterated her endorsement of Scott Peters for re-election today, saying this of Peters:
"He's a people person, he cares he listens and he does something about it. If he can continue in his capacity, then he will be great for our community."
Wong-Avery, president of the Chinese Bilingual Preschool and the Chinese Service Center, also endorsed Peters in the CA-52 district primary.
"I'm truly honored to have Sally's endorsement," Peters said. "She's a remarkable success story and a person who is universally admired and respected in San Diego's Chinese-American community. She's been in our corner for quite awhile, which means a lot."
Last month the Peters campaign held an "Asian Americans and Pacific Islanders for Scott" event to unveil a long list of community leaders supporter Peters for re-election.
