Issues: Employment and Affirmative Action Marriage Sexual Orientation and Gender Identity

To protect all people who identify as gay, lesbian, bisexual, transgender, or otherwise do not conform to "conventional" gender roles or identities, Ian will work to:

Oppose any future enforcement or re-instatement of the Defense of Marriage Act, the Marriage Protection Act, or any federal legislation that seeks to restrict marriage equality.

Support the Employment Non-Discrimination Act to prohibit discrimination in hiring and employment on the basis of sexual orientation or gender identity.

Ensure that care under national health care programs covers medically necessary care for transgender people.
