Kevin Wade (R-DE) today called for commonsense precautions in the fight against the Ebola virus. "This deadly disease is in America right now. Because of its incubation period, infected persons traveling to America could appear healthy in Africa and not develop telltale symptoms until they're already here, as we've just seen in Dallas," said Wade.
"Domestic quarantining may prove to be too little, too late. It's time to take prudent precautions and temporarily suspend the traffic of people entering the US from the affected countries," he continued.
"What we're talking about is just simple common sense," said Wade.
"But, by now, I'm sure very few Americans are surprised by Washington's inaction on this, and other, crises. It is time to put the safety of American families first," Wade concluded.
Republican Kevin Wade is the founder and president of Philadelphia Control Systems, Inc., of Christiana, DE, a consulting engineering firm specializing in data automation and production line optimization. He is married to Professor of Nursing Dr. Gail Wade; they have one married daughter and two grandchildren.
