Blog: Visit to the United States Naval Academy

Statement

Yesterday, I had the opportunity to travel to the United States Naval Academy in Annapolis, Maryland where I visited with eleven midshipmen from our district that I nominated for attendance. It is a true honor and serious responsibility as a Member of Congress to nominate our students to attend our service academies.

America must always lead in an increasingly dangerous world, and the students at our service academies will be integral in defending our nation. It is comforting to know that so many of our neighbors will serve in these efforts. I look forward to helping future classes of our emerging leaders follow their dream to some of our nation's finest institutions.
