David Perdue Highlights Michelle Nunn's Job Crushing Energy Policies

Press Release

Location: Atlanta, GA
Issues: Oil and Gas

Earlier today, the League of Conservation Voters, a liberal environmentalist group endorsed Michelle Nunn. The group is against the construction of the Keystone Pipeline, advocates for such things like Obama's war on coal, burdensome EPA regulations, and cap-and-trade. This group is out of touch with hardworking Georgians, and their endorsement of Nunn shows that she is out of touch as well.

Michelle Nunn supports their liberal agenda. Her own jobs plan refuses to address how burdensome regulations on the coal industry will raise energy prices and destroy jobs. Her website says she wants to "act now" on climate change.

Commenting on Michelle Nunn's job-killing energy stance, David Perdue said, "Georgians know that we must unleash our nation's energy potential. Energy prices are too high, our national security is at risk from dependence on foreign energy, and we need to create more jobs. Georgians can't afford Barack Obama and Michelle Nunn's failed energy policies."

Nunn claims to support the Keystone Pipeline, but if she seriously supports moving forward with it, how did she secure the support from this far-left group that says it is "harmful" and "all risk and no reward"?

What promises did Michelle Nunn make behind closed doors that she won't say directly to Georgians? Clearly, the League of Conservation Voters are confident that Nunn will carry out the rest of Barack Obama and Harry Reid's anti-energy agenda in Washington.

"Georgia voters deserve a Senator who supports an all-of-the-above energy plan. Expanding domestic energy production will help get Americans back to work and achieve energy independence. If elected, I will work to remove burdensome EPA regulations holding back our economy and to advance the Keystone XL Pipeline to create more jobs and lower energy prices for all Georgians," Perdue added.

Once again, Michelle Nunn shows she will say or do anything to get elected, even if that means deceiving the people of Georgia about her positions on energy.
