The Green Party candidate for Governor Howie Hawkins was in Binghamton on Friday.
Hawkins sees inroads in his bid to be Governor following Tuesday's primary results. One in three democrats voted for Zephyr Teachout over Governor Cuomo. Even thought turnout was low, Hawkins says those votes and many more are in play this November.
"I want to be in the debates. I am the progressive alternative it is an obligation to the media I believe to let the people know that they have an alternative." said

The UPS worker and teamsters leader was the Green Party candidate for Governor in 2010. He also ran against Hillary Clinton in 2006. Hawkins will face Cuomo and Republican Rob Astorino in November.
