The National Rifle Association Political Victory Fund (NRA-PVF) today endorsed Shelley Moore Capito for U.S. Senate in West Virginia. Capito has earned an "A" rating from NRA-PVF for being solidly pro-gun.
"The outcome of this election is critical to preserving our Second Amendment freedom, and I promise that no one is going to fight harder for our constitutional rights. While others talk the talk, I walk the walk. I'm humbled and honored that the National Rifle Association is supporting me," said Capito.
In a letter to Capito announcing the endorsement, NRA-PVF Chairman Chris Cox wrote, "On behalf of our five million members across the country, the National Rifle Association Political Victory Fund is proud to endorse your candidacy for U.S. Senate in West Virginia. Based on your support of and commitment to the Second Amendment, you have earned an "A' rating from NRA-PVF in the November 4, 2014, election."
Shelley Moore Capito is 100 percent pro-Second Amendment.
Capito has a lifetime "A" rating from the National Rifle Association. She opposes the Manchin-Toomey background check bill, which would further restrict gun purchases, and she stood in opposition to the President over the United Nations Arms Treaty, which threatens the Second Amendment.
Natalie Tennant's alleged "support" for the Second Amendment misses the mark. Tennant was criticized by the NRA for supporting Obama's anti-freedom agenda and Michelle Obama cited gun control in her endorsement of Tennant. Natalie Tennant has taken three different positions on the Manchin-Toomey background check bill -- for, undecided and now against -- and she is backed by gun-hating liberals like Harry Reid and Elizabeth Warren. According to the Charleston Daily Mail, Tennant even refused to fill out the NRA's candidate questionnaire during her 2011 bid for Governor.
