Most Americans and even members of both major parties agree that it is time for comprehensive immigration reform. Comprehensive immigration reform means reform that:

Understands that there are certain business sectors in this country and our district that rely heavily on immigrant labor and that such labor can be had without tearing down the protections that the American worker has toiled hard to earn.

Acknowledges that we have a fundamental respect for the family unit that we share as humans and Americans.

Recognizes that this country has always benefited from the efforts of immigrants and their children who pull themselves up by their own bootstraps to become educated and productive members of our America.

Does not place the burden of immigration reform on enforcement, particularly enforcement that creates a hostile environment towards our own American citizens.
