Location: Bayville, NJ

Tom MacArthur's campaign for Congress today continued to demonstrate its depth of support by announcing their sixth grassroots coalition to date: "Farmers for MacArthur."

"Farmers for MacArthur" enlists additional activists to the growing list of hundreds of Grassroots Coalition Leaders that are actively working to spread the word about Tom MacArthur's platform as a job creator and bipartisan problem solver.

"As someone who grew up in a farming community and worked on a dairy farm as a teenager, I have tremendous respect for farmers and the agriculture industry," said MacArthur. "These are the people whose values I grew up with, and modeled my work ethic after during my career in the private sector. I am honored to have such a strong grassroots leadership team of "Farmers for MacArthur" as we enter the home stretch of this campaign."

Farmers are a key constituency in New Jersey's Third Congressional District and the agriculture industry makes up a significant portion of the District's economy, especially in Burlington County.

Pete Johnson, a farmer from Jobstown added, "Farmers are small business people and Tom MacArthur understands the issues we are facing. He had a very successful career in the private sector and I trust that he will use that experience to represent our community. Tom will work to eliminate burdensome regulations and cut bureaucratic red tape so our businesses and farms can flourish. I know Tom will reach across the aisle to reform our tax code so hardworking people can keep more of what they earn. We will be working on his behalf to communicate his platform to our friends and family throughout the farming community in South Jersey."
