Issue Position

While the government cannot create private sector jobs, it certainly can create an environment where entrepreneurs and businesses are able to succeed. Arkansas must be competitive with other states, especially its neighbors, in fostering innovation and getting government out of the way. We can get the Natural State moving with:

* A simple tax code that doesn't punish success
* An education system that emphasizes technology and prepares students for the modern workforce
* Infrastructure that makes transportation and commerce more efficient
* Developing our natural resources while maintaining a healthy environment
* A market-driven health care system with the patient, not the government, as the central focus
* A government that provides leadership through consistency and responsible budgeting
