Issue Position

We must create an economy that gives everyone a shot at success.

In Colorado from our pioneering days to today, we have never shied away from hard work. However, increasingly our economy is not working for everyone. I look forward to working with our business community, with our workers and with our entrepreneurs to figure out how we can bring new business to Colorado, help our current businesses grow and ensure that all Coloradans take part in prosperity.

On Westminster City Council I did this by:

Expanded the business retention program to ensure Westminster businesses stay in Westminster. The city helps find new locations, solve problems and connect local businesses with essential resources to stay in the city.
Created and Expanded local business programs such as a capital grants program, scholarships for employee training and energy efficiency grants to help our local businesses grow and expand.
Worked hard to create new jobs by revitalizing South Westminster and creating an arts community in South Westminster, worked to provide the catalyst for redevelopment of the mall and recruitment of new primary jobs.
