Issue Position: Tax Reform

Issue Position

Tax reform represents the greatest opportunity to find bipartisan consensus on a major political issue in our country today. Our current tax code is antiquated to the point that it has become a hindrance to American productivity. We need a complete overhaul that would dramatically simplify the tax code and create fairness in the way the government collects revenue. I'm supportive of the Fair Tax and other creative solutions, but the priority is that we find consensus around a commonsense approach and take action.
