the strength of our country has always depended on a vibrant workforce. That means we need a significant amount of job opportunities to be available at all skill levels. Recently, states have gone overboard to attract large corporate and industrial development projects and Georgia has played a big part in that effort. Fortunately, we have been more right than wrong on these projects. Where we need to make more investments is with the small companies that make up over 90% of all businesses in our state. We must provide incentives for companies to start and to grow here in our state. More importantly, we have to reduce the tax and regulatory burdens that limit the success of many small businesses.
