Marshall is a 23 year veteran of the United States Marine Corps and a Vietnam veteran. He will fight for veteran's services in Congress. He will work tirelessly to ensure our nation keeps its promise to our veterans. As a veteran and with two sons who are Iraq/Afghanistan combat veterans, Marshall knows the sacrifice our young service men and women go through, especially when they return home. That is why he supports the "Hire Veterans" project that provides tax incentives for hiring veterans. Marshall will support bills which provide adequate pay raises and Cost of Living Allowances (COLAs) which reflect our appreciation from a grateful nation. "Nobody serving in our Military should be making so little as to qualify for Food Stamps". He believes we need to cut the fat, not the muscle, out of our defense budgets. Marshall will work to reduce our reliance on expensive service contractors and invest those resources in our own military.
