Walker: The Difference Is Clear

Press Release

Date: July 11, 2014
Location: Greensboro, NC
Issues: Elections

Conservative Mark Walker, Republican candidate for North Carolina's 6th Congressional District, issued this statement after today's candidate debate:

"Do the voters want another career politician in Washington or a true outsider? That is the central question of this election and it was on display during today's debate. I demonstrated that I am the only outsider in this election. I will bring true leadership and change to Washington, D.C."

"As a pastor and businessman, I am not a career politician. I have pledged to term-limit myself and hold fast to this District's conservative principles. I am ready to serve and I believe today's debate shows why the people of this District, the grassroots, are rallying to our cause."

"My opponent is bought and paid for by special interest money. As a member of the political establishment, he has pledged to back the Republican Leadership in Washington and has cozied up to corporate interests. It does not get anymore 'insider' than that."

Today's debate will air tonight from 7:30pm -- 8:30pm on Time Warner Cable News channel 14 and via the News 14 website free of charge. Despite invitations from local news sources, this was the only debate Phil Berger, Jr. agreed to participate in.

Mark Walker is a candidate for U.S. Congress in North Carolina's Sixth District. He was recently endorsed by the Greensboro News and Record and the national Eagle Forum. Additionally, Mark has been endorsed by local conservative leaders including State Rep. John Blust, Sheriffs BJ Barnes and Terry Johnson, and most former 6th Congressional District candidates. He has a background in business and ministry, most recently as a member of the pastoral staff of one of the largest churches in Guilford County. Mark and his wife of 21 years, Kelly, have three children.
