Our government cannot be effective without transparency.
The people deserve to "check up" on their representatives. Unfortunately, the only "check" we have on our current Assemblyman is the $80,000 of taxpayer money that we pay him in salary to sit around in a suit in Albany as he pretends to make enlightened decisions. The State must provide more resources for citizen engagement in the policy process.
