Issue Position

Our renewable energy policy hurts the same people Single Payer harms. Those who advocate producing 90% of all our future energy needs from expensive renewable energy sources seem heedless of how much harder that will make it to find employment here that pays enough to afford a middle class life, particularly for Vermonters whose jobs involve making something, fixing something or growing something. I support finding our green energy by building a permanent working relationship with Hydro-Quebec. It's not perfect but it will give us reliable, non-polluting energy that is much less expensive than windmills, solar or biomass ever will be.
