George is helping to lead attorneys general the country in the legal fight against Standard & Poor's to hold the credit rating agency accountable for its role in the nationwide financial crisis. Connecticut has sued both S&P and Moody's and has survived legal challenges to the suits, which allege that the agencies knew the securities they were awarding high ratings were essentially worthless -- contributing to the collapse of the country's financial markets.
