Senator John Walsh today met with Tom Cubbage of Great Falls, President of the Montana Science Teachers Association. Walsh and Cubbage discussed the importance of providing Montana students with quality education in the Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics (STEM) fields.
"We need to provide Montana students with the education and training they need to be successful in today's competitive job market," Walsh said. "With a solid education in science, technology, engineering, and math, our students will be prepared for the 21st century economy and able to find good-paying jobs here in Montana."
Walsh is a member of the bipartisan STEM Caucus which was formed to raise awareness of STEM education and workforce issues.
