Statement of Gov. Rick Perry on Death of Pope John Paul II
Gov. Rick Perry issued the following statement today upon the death of Pope John Pall II.
"Today we have lost a spiritual leader who inspired millions of hearts and who changed the world we live in: Pope John Paul II. Anita and I join millions of Texans of all faiths in mourning the loss of this great humanitarian. May he rest in peace, and may the world he leaves behind one day realize his vision of hope, peace and reconciliation."
