Issue Position

Government must be responsible and accountable with every taxpayer dollar. I have worked diligently with my colleagues to pass a sound and balanced budget four months ahead of schedule that invests in important areas such as education, public safety and infrastructure. We have also paid down significant amounts of long-term debt that has hindered our state for years. Our state's rainy day fund has also been replenished, causing our bond rating to increase, and ensuring that our state is prepared in times of crisis.
