Three years ago, Michigan was at the bottom of every list you wanted to be on and the top of every one you didn't. Michiganders were flunking some very important subjects like job creation, increases of per capita income, home sales, and manufacturing employment. That was before House Republicans moved into Lansing and started Michigan's comeback with a series of aggressive reforms. Here are some of the results:

Nearly 300,000 private sector jobs created in Michigan.

Number 1 in the country in gains in manufacturing employment -- Texas was number 2.

Ranked 7th best gain in per capita income 2011-2014 in the United States.

Home sales increasing.

First gains in population in a decade.

Some of the reforms that State Representative Al Pscholka helped lead:

Passage of Michigan's Labor Freedom Law.

Elimination of the Michigan Business Tax -- the worst business tax in the country at the time.

Reform of Workers Compensation and Unemployment Insurance Laws.

Elimination of the Manufacturing Personal Property Tax.

Elimination of more than 1,900 rules and regulations in state government.

Elimination of special tax breaks.
