As a Vietnam veteran, Rodney knows the importance of fulfilling our nation's commitments to men and women who have served in uniform. He's forged a strong record of support for veterans' health care, a comprehensive New GI Bill of Rights and programs thatassist homeless veterans. Today, he's holding veterans administration leadership accountable and demanding that they sharply reduce the backlog in veterans' benefits claims. He also pressing the VA to expand services for women veterans, provide more housing for homeless veterans and improve mental health services for the newest veterans as well as those suffering from traumatic brain injuries and other serious injuries. He also strongly supports a complete integration of the Department of Defense and VA electronic medical records to help veterans get prompt care!
