Issue Position

Education should be a local issue. Having said that, how do we do that and make sure that our students are prepared for the workforce and/or higher education. This can be accomplished by setting the standard at a level deemed high enough for entering into the workforce or higher education, providing the right assessments to determine that students have met that level. Districts should be paid based on that outcome and the state should stay out of the way. Let education practioners do what they do best, "Educate Kids".
