Issues: Civil Liberties and Civil Rights Marriage Sexual Orientation and Gender Identity

The Michigan Civil Rights Act needs to be strengthened, and the LGBT community must be covered by the act as well. Michigan ought to support marriage by making it a right for all, including same-sex couples, not wait for the federal courts. Voting rights are under threat, too, with the state takeover of predominantly African-American cities across the state. We need to restore local control, and the right to vote for all.
