Tomorrow, West Virginia Secretary of State and U.S. Senate nominee Natalie Tennant will deliver remarks at the West Union Memorial Day event in Doddridge County.
As the wife of a Navy Reservist and the daughter of a Korean War veteran, Tennant will honor those lost and thank veterans for their service.
"West Virginians are the first to answer the call to serve. We are forever grateful for the heroism, dedication and sacrifice of our veterans, service members, and their families -- not just on Memorial Day, but every day," Tennant said.
"Today the best way to honor those who are no longer with us is by redoubling our commitment to veterans and service members. It's not enough to simply say "thank you,' we must show our gratitude by working aggressively to fix the broken VA system, making sure our veterans have good-paying jobs to come home to, and protecting the benefits and services our military families depend on."
