Issue Position

Accessing civil liberties comes before the ability to activate them; access is a cornerstone of American democracy. During Mike's four terms as Chair of the Congressional Asian Pacific American Caucus and now as Chair Emeritus, Mike brings voice to Asian Americans and Pacific Islanders and other underserved populations throughout the country. With recent disproportionate attacks upon the right to vote, Mike has stood his ground, investing time into ensuring that marginalized communities are heard.
