After over a decade at war, our communities have an obligation to welcome our returning veterans home and ensure they have the support they need to transition back to civilian life. With our close proximity to Fort Meade and the National Capital Region, Ellicott City is home to many active duty military members and veterans. They need and deserve our gratitude and our helping hand.

As your delegate, I will:

Support a tax credit for small business that hire veterans of Iraq and Afghanistan.
Ensure state universities and colleges have the resources to help veterans reintegrate and succeed on campus, using resources like the VA's VetSuccess on Campus.
Work to connect area veterans to Maryland state resources, like the Service and Benefits Program of the Maryland Department of Veterans Affairs.
