Congressman Stephen Fincher (R-Frog Jump) today released the following statement regarding the resignation of Department of Veterans Affairs Secretary Eric Shinseki:

"The problems within the Department of Veterans Affairs are systemic and extend far beyond any one person. Shinseki's resignation is the first step in the right direction, but we must hold the VA accountable for its actions and negligence, and fundamentally change the way they treat our veterans. After all, our veterans have sacrificed so very much for our country, and deserve nothing but the best care available."
