Gov. Earl Ray Tomblin today announced the following bills addressed during the 2nd Special Session have completed legislative action.
"I appreciate the Legislature's hard work during this special session to address a number of challenges facing our state," Gov. Tomblin said. "I am especially grateful for the commitment of President Kessler, Speaker Miley, business and labor in coming together to tackle the unintended consequences of the minimum wage bill to help more than 100,000 hardworking West Virginians earn a fair wage.
"The supplemental appropriations legislators approved today are from excess lottery funds, not general revenue, and I am pleased that they did not rely on the Rainy Day Fund. This allows the state to continue on a fiscally responsible path while still making investments in our communities."
