McConnell: If the President Were Serious…

Location: Washington, DC

U.S. Senate Republican Leader Mitch McConnell issued the following statement on what the President could do if he were serious about job creation and ensuring America's energy independence:

"If the President really wanted to be helpful and move America toward energy independence, he'd do things like approving the Keystone pipeline, stopping the War on Coal, which has created a depression in my state and cost us six to seven thousand jobs since he's been in office. There's a way to get America going with regard to energy but it's not doing any of the things that he's been doing. He needs to change direction: If he wants to create jobs and make America energy independent, approve the Keystone pipeline and stop the War on Coal."
